Health Insurance
According to Dutch law everybody working in The Netherlands is obliged to register with a Dutch health insurance company in order to be covered by the Dutch health insurance system. Abroad Experience cannot take any responsibility if you neglect to arrange this. There are numerous health insurance companies on the Dutch market. The monthly costs often vary between 85 an 125 EUR depending on what coverage you choose i.e. basic or a more extended coverage covering dentist costs, alternative medicine etc. Officially you have 60 days to arrange your health insurance, but we recommend you to arrange your health insurance as soon as possible. If you are to work for a large company they might have a collective agreement with an insurance company that could be advantageous for you. No insurance company can refuse you the basic insurance.
