If you get ill

In the event of illness you should inform Abroad Experience and your direct manager before 10:00 on the first day of illness. As you get better and return to work you should inform Abroad Experience and also the UVW.

You are entitled to sickness payment from the 3rd day of sickness. Sickness payment is paid out by the UVW. To compensate the two waiting days you are paid a percentage of 0.71 % (waiting day compensation) for possible unpaid sickness leave with each 4 week payment period. When you are registered as ill the Assignment automatically comes to and end if you work in Phase A. As you return to work and the company has agreed to this, a new Assignment will be issued to the temporary employee. There is no limit to the amount of assignments you can have with Abroad Experience during the first 78 weeks of employment, but it might affect the type of contract you will get from the company at the end of the temping period.
