Reservations

As you start working via Abroad Experience you in general will start in Phase A according to the CAO for temporary employees. You will be paid only for the hours actually worked. For every hour worked you also accumulate reserves. The size of the reserves is shown on the payslip that you receive after every four (4) week payment period.

You are entitled to the following reserves:

a)     Holiday reserve – converted to 24 holidays per year, based on a forty hour working week and a full year of service. Therefore for each fully worked month, you will build up sixteen hours holiday leave. Holiday reserves will only be paid out when you are going on holiday for longer than 5 days, with a maximum of three times per year, or when the assignment has come to an end.  Holiday leave shall not be taken without approval from you manager and without informing Abroad Experience.

b)    The holiday allowance of 8% as statutorily regulated – this allowance will be paid out with the four-weekly salary payment which includes calendar week 26 of each year that you have worked, or when the contract and assignment has come to and end.

c)     A reserve for Dutch public holidays will be paid out with the four-weekly salary payment which includes a Dutch public holiday, or when the Contract and Assignment has come to an end.

d)    A reserve for short absences from the work place ‘Kort Verzuim’. For example a reserve will be built up over the amount of hours you have worked to use  when time is needed off work to visit a doctor or dentist. This reserve will be paid out with the four-weekly salary payment  which includes calendar week 26 and calendar week 52 of the year that you have worked, or when the Contract and Assignment has come to an end.
