  • Customer Services
  • Helpdesk/Technical Support
  • Finance/Accounting
  • Administration
  • Sales/Marketing
  • Logistics
  • Purchasing
  • Human Resources
  • Management/Supervisory

The majority of the positions available are fulltime roles, on both a temporary and permanent basis.

How to Register your CV with us

In order to assist you in finding a job you need to be legally able to live and work in The Netherlands. This means that you may need to register with the immigration service (IND) or apply for a valid residence or work permit before you can start working here. For more information regarding the procedure you may need to follow please look under "Useful information" and then under the heading Residence and Work permits for The Netherlands.

As an applicant we recommend that you first take a look at our current vacancies posted on our website. If  you want to apply for a specific vacancy, or if you want to send an open application to us, you can do so by attaching your Curriculum Vitae (CV) to the application form under the heading "Send your CV" on our website. Please make sure that your CV is easy to read - it needs to be written in the English language and should mention your education, work experience, language skills, IT skills, and any other skills that you feel are relevant. You also have the opportunity to write a short motivation letter if you want to apply for a specific position,

Once we have received your CV

Your CV will be added into our internal database and you will receive an e-mail confirmation that your CV has been received. If we feel that there could be any possible opportunities for you, a Recruitment Consultant will contact you to arrange a first intake interview over the telephone รข€“ we realise that most applicants are still based in their country of origin. During the telephone interview your CV will be discussed and we can also discuss what your expectations are, your availability, your salary requirements and so on. After this conversation we will send you job descriptions by e-mail of positions matching your skills and wishes.

If you would like to apply for a position, we will forward your CV onto our international client. If our client is interested in your CV the company may ask you for a telephone interview, or most likely- invite you for a face to face interview at their office. Most companies in The Netherlands do not assist you with any kind of travel reimbursement, therefore this will be at your own cost. If you would like to attend the interview with our client we will confirm this for you, and we will arrange to meet together at our office before your actual interview.

A Dutch Contract?

In The Netherlands most companies use the services of an agency to assist them in their recruitment needs. If you are offered a position with one of our clients, you will more than likely have an employment contract via Abroad Experience, therefore you will have a temporary contract with us but you will be working at the location of our client. Abroad Experience will pay your salary to you and we are seen as your official employer. A temporary contract is usually agreed for a period of 3-6 months and our client will offer you a direct contract if all is going well after this period.

Working on a temporary employment contract is a very common way of employment in The Netherlands.

Some of our clients prefer to offer successful applicants a direct contract, often for a period of 6 months or 1 year.

Abroad Experience follows the guidelines of the ABU/CAO - this is a federation that ensures that the rights and benefits of a Temporary Employee are respected under the Collective Labour Agreement for Temporary Employees in The Netherlands.

The services of a recruitment agency are free of charge for applicants so you do not need to worry about any unexpected expenses!

Relocating to The Netherlands

Once you have accepted a job offer,  you will of course need to relocate to The Netherlands. In general the majority of our clients do not offer any relocation assistance, thus you will need to be financially capable of relocating on quite a short notice period.

Accommodation in The Netherlands is fairly expensive especially around the larger city areas. If you are relocating alone it will probably be too expensive for you to rent a house or apartment for yourself. We advise our applicants to rent a room within a house or apartment, and then you share the bathroom and kitchen facilities with other people.

Abroad Experience has contact with some housing agencies with affordable accommodation - we can put you in touch with these agencies and make appointments for you to view some rooms.

It is normal to pay around Euro. 300-400 Gross per month for renting a room. Of course as like in most countries if you are to use the services of a housing agency you will need to pay for the following before you are actually given the key to your new accommodation:

1 months rent in advance + a deposit (usually the same as 1 months rent) + a commission fee.

In total you are going to need around Euro. 1000 + in order to settle into your new accommodation.

You will also need enough finances to buy your food and necessities before your first salary is paid out to you.

We do have some clients who offer relocation assistance - you may be able to have your one-way travel ticket reimbursed to you, and you could receive a maximum amount of money to help you with your first months rent, or perhaps you can buy new furniture. Our clients may pay this money to you in areas, or before your purchase - depending on their terms and conditions.
