Founded in 1998 Abroad Experience is an international recruitment agency with offices in Amersfoort and The Hague, The Netherlands. We assist international companies that have set up their European Headquarters/Customer Service/Financial shared service centres in The Netherlands and abroad with their recruitment needs. Specialised in finding international oriented candidates for several industries.
Geographical Coverage:
We assist clients based in The Netherlands, with a concentration in the Randstad areas – Amsterdam, Utrecht, Rotterdam. Due to our international network of applicants we also recruit personnel for a number of clients in Belgium, Northern Ireland, Ireland and the UK. At the moment we are also busy with furthering our services to companies in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
The Agency:
At the moment we have seven people working for the Abroad Experience. Together we have over 27 years of experience of working within the recruitment area. As an agency made up of internationals we possess the following languages to a native or fluent level: Dutch, English, German, Swedish, Danish, Greek, French.
Being a relatively small agency we are able to offer a personal service to our clients. Each client is assigned to an Account Manager who will be the main point of contact. As we work closely as a team there will always be a back-up available if the Account Manager is absent. The communication lines within our organisation are short and therefore we work in an efficient way to respond to the specific needs of our clients.
The way we work
We have a large database of international applicants which is updated with new applications on a daily basis. The first intake and screening is done over the telephone, – the main reason being that a number of our candidates live outside of The Netherlands. If candidates have an interview request, candidates are then always seen for a face to face interview before being presented to the company. Languages can be tested if they fall into the above categories, and if requested by the client we perform reference checks. When CV’s are forwarded onto our clients we include a short explanation of the necessary practical details and background information.
Not only towards our clients but also towards our applicants we aim to keep a very high service level and therefore we also assist applicants from abroad in finding accommodation. We have a close cooperation with a number of housing agencies and student associations. Furthermore we provide detailed information to international applicants in regard to the steps to be taken when you want to work in The Netherlands.
